Patch 26.7 — Nami & Karma Nerfed, Support Gold Penalty Removed
Patch 26.7 targets overperforming supports. Nami and Karma take nerfs, Rell and Kalista get buffs, and Riot permanently removes the gold penalty for supports who kill minions.
Patch 26.7 went live April 1st, 2026. The headline change is a quality-of-life win for supports — Riot has fully removed the gold reduction that kicked in when supports killed minions. On the balance side, Nami and Karma take hits after weeks of overperformance at high elo, while Rell and Kalista receive meaningful buffs.
Buffs
E — Full Tilt: Move Speed increased from 10% (up to 25%) to 15% (up to 30%). R — Magnet Storm: damage increased at levels 1 and 3 (120/200/280 → 150/200/350).
E — Rend: AD scaling on additional stacks increased from 20/25/30/35/40% to 20/27.5/35/42.5/50% AD. Meaningful mid-game power spike.
E — Twin Fang: bonus magic damage increased at ranks 2–5. Base mana up from 450 to 480.
Nerfs
W — Ebb and Flow: bounce modifier nerfed. Heals and deals significantly less damage per bounce unless building heavy AP.
R — Mantra: empowered E shield values reduced at all ranks (50/100/150/200 → 45/85/125/165).
R — Primordial Burst: cooldown increased at ranks 1 and 2 (100/80/60s → 120/90/60s).
W — Bellows Breath: Brittle proc damage slightly reduced across all levels (10–18% → 9–17%).
R — Insanity Potion: bonus stats reduced at ranks 2 and 3 (60/95 → 55/85).
Base attack damage reduced from 68 to 66.
Systems: Support Gold Change
Riot has permanently disabled the gold reduction that triggered when supports killed too many minions. Supports who cleared waves to help their team were punished even when it was the correct play. The restriction is now fully removed in all queues.
Counter Pick Impact
Nami's nerf opens the door for other enchanters — Lulu and Soraka look stronger. Karma's shield reduction makes aggressive bot lanes more punishing; expect more Nautilus and Thresh. Rell's buffs push her back into the conversation as a reliable engage pick.
Patch 26.8 is scheduled for April 15th, 2026. It's expected to be a larger balance pass ahead of the Season 16 Act 2 update. We'll post a full breakdown as soon as the notes go live.
